In order to have a working server, follow the steps.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Build a new server with the same operating system and drives.<\/li>\n<li>Give it the same name as the dead one.<\/li>\n<li>Reset the server account in AD and add the new server to the domain.<\/li>\n<li>Install Exchange 2007 <span id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_0\" class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">pre<\/span>\u2013<span id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_1\" class=\"blsp-spelling-corrected\">requisites<\/span> and patch the Windows OS.<\/li>\n<li>Run Setup.com \/M:<span id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_2\" class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">RecoverServer<\/span> from the exchange <span id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_3\" class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">dvd<\/span> prompt.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Information about your old exchange server will be pulled from AD and the new server will be built. Certain things which are not stored in AD like send connectors, receive connectors, certificates, customized <span id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_4\" class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">OWA<\/span> experience have to be reconfigured.<\/p>\n<p>Note that <span id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_5\" class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">DisasterRecovery<\/span> switch in 2000 and 2003 is no longer available in 2007 and has been replaced with the <span id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_6\" class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">RecoverServer<\/span> switch.
