{"id":1010,"date":"2012-11-01T22:01:35","date_gmt":"2012-11-01T22:01:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/microsoftgeek.com\/?p=1010"},"modified":"2012-11-01T22:02:07","modified_gmt":"2012-11-01T22:02:07","slug":"how-to-create-a-distribution-list-in-outlook-2007","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/microsoftgeek.com\/?p=1010","title":{"rendered":"How to Create a Distribution List in Outlook 2007"},"content":{"rendered":"<ol>\n<li>Open-up <span style=\"color: #000000;\">Microsoft Office Outlook 2007<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Click the drop-down arrow next to \u201cNew\u201d (the same \u201cnew\u201d you click when you want to create a new message), then select Distribution List<\/li>\n<li>You can also click Ctrl + Shift + L<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cdn4.cybernetnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/distribution-list-1.png\" alt=\"distribution list 1.png\" width=\"480\" height=\"471\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A new <span style=\"color: #000000;\">window <\/span>will appear once you\u2019ve clicked on \u201cDistribution List\u201d and from there you\u2019ll select the contacts that you would like to be a part of the list, and give it a name.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cdn4.cybernetnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/distribution-list-2.png\" alt=\"distribution list 2.png\" width=\"480\" height=\"305\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The name for my distribution list in the example above is \u201cFamily.\u201d Once I enter a name, then I can click \u201cSelect Members.\u201d This pulls up my contacts list so that I can choose which individuals I would like to be a part of my \u201cFamily\u201d list. You can add members by double-clicking on each name. Once all members are selected, you\u2019ll click \u201cSave &amp; Close.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After your list is created, you will see the name of the Distribution List listed in your contacts. Think about how useful this feature could be! Maybe you have several groups of people that you email at work, or a group of friends that you frequently send messages too.
