If the shared mailbox has just recently been created, please wait at  least two hours before you use these instructions to setup access to it.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In Entourage 2008, select the <strong>Tools<\/strong> menu and then <strong>Accounts<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>In the window that appears, double-click on your Exchange account to open it.<\/li>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tr.txstate.edu\/get-connected\/computerservices\/e-mail-setup\/entourage2008-shared\/contentParagraph\/0\/content_files\/file1\/Picture-1.jpg\" alt=\"Entourage Accounts Edit\" width=\"511\" height=\"326\" \/><\/p>\n<li>Click the <strong>Delegate<\/strong> tab.  In the section named <strong>Users I am a delegate for<\/strong>, click the <strong>Add&#8230;<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tr.txstate.edu\/get-connected\/computerservices\/e-mail-setup\/entourage2008-shared\/contentParagraph\/0\/content_files\/file\/Picture-2.jpg\" alt=\"Entourage Delegate For Add\" width=\"415\" height=\"478\" \/><\/p>\n<li>The Select User window will appear. Type in the name of the shared mailbox in the text box and click the <strong>Find<\/strong> button. Select the desired user from the search result list that appears and click <strong>OK<\/strong>.\n<p>In this example, we are connecting to the shared mailbox named synergy:<\/li>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tr.txstate.edu\/get-connected\/computerservices\/e-mail-setup\/entourage2008-shared\/contentParagraph\/0\/content_files\/file0\/Picture-3.jpg\" alt=\"Entourage Shared Mailbox Select\" width=\"481\" height=\"259\" \/><\/p>\n<li>Click  OK again to close the accounts window. After a short period of time  that shared mailbox will appear as a folder in the View list on the left  side.<\/li>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tr.txstate.edu\/get-connected\/computerservices\/e-mail-setup\/entourage2008-shared\/contentParagraph\/0\/content_files\/file2\/Picture-5.jpg\" alt=\"Entourage Shared Mailbox Folder View\" width=\"268\" height=\"397\" \/><\/ol>\n<h3>Sending a mail message<\/h3>\n<p>You  will be able to send and receive mail messages using the shared mailbox  as you would your own mail messages. However, when creating a brand new  message, be sure to specify the shared mailbox account as the sender on  the <strong>From:<\/strong> line using the pop-down menu:<\/p>\n<ol><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tr.txstate.edu\/get-connected\/computerservices\/e-mail-setup\/entourage2008-shared\/contentParagraph\/0\/content_files\/file3\/Picture-6.jpg\" alt=\"Entourage Shared Mailbox Send\" width=\"354\" height=\"206\" \/><\/ol>\n<h3>Removing a shared mailbox from view<\/h3>\n<p>If you have previously connected to shared mailbox and no longer want to see it or no longer have proper access to it:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open Entourage 2008 and from the <strong>Edit<\/strong> menu, select <strong>Accounts<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>In the window that appears, double-click on your Exchange account.<\/li>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tr.txstate.edu\/get-connected\/computerservices\/e-mail-setup\/entourage2008-shared\/contentParagraph\/0\/content_files\/file4\/Picture-1.jpg\" alt=\"Entourage Accounts Edit\" width=\"511\" height=\"326\" \/><\/p>\n<li>Click the <strong>Delegate<\/strong> tab.  In the section named <strong>Users I am a delegate for<\/strong>, select the shared mailbox in the list and click the <strong>Remove<\/strong> button.
